Robert Manning joined forces with the Hon. John C. Ninfo II, western NY bankruptcy judge and founder of the Credit Abuse Resistance Education program, to address high school students at the School Without Walls about ways to become financially responsible and avoid credit card debt.

The first meeting of the Center for Consumer Financial Services advisory board met for dinner May 31, 2007 and an all-day work session at the Saunders College of Business on June1. The advisory board, composed of industry professionals as well as current and former members of local, New York State and Federal Government branches.

Dr. Manning is the Frank J. Battisti Memorial Lecturer at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, with his presentation "After the Financial Services Revolution: Banking Deregulation, Bankruptcy Reform, and the Consumer Debt Crisis". While there he was awarded a plaque commemorating his lecture.
