On Friday, May 4, 2007, the William D. Gasser Distinguished Lecture Series in Business and The Presidential Colloquium featured Former Senator Paul Sarbanes, co-author of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Mr. Sarbanes led the charge to reform the business world and restore public confidence in Wall Street by holding companies such as Enron, Worldcom and Tyco liable for unethical actions.

Ralph Nader delivered the inaugural address for the Center for the Study of Consumer Financial Services (CSCFS) [Real Media Stream] at Rochester Institute of Technology on March 21, 2006. Dr. Manning is the founding director of CSCFS and the new Consumer Financial Services undergraduate program at RIT.
